Asbestos Awareness Online

Our asbestos awareness online course provides a great foundation level of knowledge for anyone working with or around asbestos or potential asbestos-containing materials. 

It covers the following: 

• An introduction to asbestos
• The history of asbestos 
• Asbestos-related health effects
• Common products containing asbestos
• Information on asbestos handling and removal
• The identification of asbestos, control and assessment of it in buildings
• Safe work procedures, including the use of personal and respiratory protective equipment
• Decontamination procedures, how you can stay safe while handling asbestos 

This course has been designed to be accessible and easy enough for those who have minimal knowledge of asbestos. 

When you have finished working through the online course materials given, you must sit a final assessment in order to test your knowledge and complete the course. This assessment is a multiple-choice questionnaire and you have the option to retake the test if you don't pass the first time. Once you have completed the assessment, you will be awarded a course completion certificate that will be available to download and print.
